We believe that every Boston student deserves access to an excellent education.
What makes our Compact special is our multi-sector, multi-layered, practitioner-driven approach. We engage teachers, school communities and system leaders in shared problem solving.
Our engagement strategy has three components, all of which work on changes that benefit students and families. We provide teachers with opportunities to strengthen classroom practice by collaborating with colleagues from other sectors. We organize school communities to solve persistent education challenges and improve together. We convene systems leaders to develop policy recommendations and make operational improvements. The systems change work requires a citywide culture in which people communicate and share practices with one another.
