Compact hears from South Boston families, answers questions on collaborative initiatives

Last week’s community meeting at the Condon Community Center in South Boston was a thoughtful conversation amongst parents, educators and concerned residents dedicated to Boston’s young people. One mother spoke about finding the right school fit for her autistic daughter. Another parent shared her experience with visiting several schools in her area. We talked about what unified enrollment has looked like in other cities, such as Denver, and we heard questions about schools’ accountability and the methods that the Boston Compact would use to achieve our goal of ensuring equity in opportunity for Boston students and families.
